In Colorado just the bull tag is all but 800 dollars for the second season,the gas and motel out and back from pa is another 800 dollar s.then good luck trying to find decent place to hunt,or you might go d a place to hunt and just pay for a trespass fee .then you better have a couple of other people with you ,in case someone gets one.because after you shoot one the work starts
buy a resident tag… instead of nonresident… if you dont have elk hunting in your state, then theres idaho, arizona, wyoming, alaska, utah, and new mexico which all have elk tags for under $1,000 but you also have to buy a license yearly in most of them, and probably not get drawn for several years at least… so its still not cheap… but neither is tri tip at the supermarket. i just spent $75 on like 7# of beef at raleys… meat isnt cheap, and theres lots of people who wanna hunt nowdays, more than ever. overpopulation is becoming a serious issue, at least for hunters, theres not enough game for the number of hunters nowdays. so everyone only gets to hunt the good stuff once in a while… or pay out the nose for it… usually both…
