this would definitely increase the amount of bulk vs my set up with separate lineman rope and tether. also it would not be faster or easier.
Why buy this stuff instead of tried and proven actual climbing gear ?
This is garbage. Do yourself a favor and learn how to tie your own knots and then buy climbing rated ropes and your own carabiners.
HSS and Muddy ropes are all “no name and no specs given” and usually the knots they use are garbage. They always use prusiks, which suck. HSS used to use a simple overhand to make the prusik cord loop which is short bus stuff. Muddy used a metal clamp to make the prusik loop, which is almost criminal negligence.
Just study this stuff for a day and you can make better stuff every year or when you want to retire a rope for next to nothing.
